Day out with Thomas the Train!

Happy boy!

The past two years (maybe three?), Anthony's begged to see Thomas the Train when Thomas comes to town. The first year, we missed it. The next year, we said, "Oh, we'll buy tickets at the event instead of paying the ridiculous 'convenience fee' on the computer!" That didn't work. This year, we finally got it (to the tune of, like, $50...for me and Anthony!)!!!

Anyway, Anthony was SO excited and it was completely worth it. There was a festival atmosphere with bands, rides other than Thomas (the smaller engine that pulls other trains into place, I think), photo opportunities with characters from the popular Thomas books, food, model trains, and other activities for the kids. Considering how expensive the tickets were, it was nice to have other things to really pack it in and make it a worthwhile experience.

We ended up spending a good four hours there. I was wiped out at the end. Anthony could have gone another four hours. Sheesh!
