Halloween Train

Last weekend, Larry, Anthony and I all went to Snoqualmie to ride the pumpkin train! We met with my very good friends, Andrew and Amy, and their adorable little girl, Riley. It was a ton of fun and Anthony finally got to ride a real, honest-to-goodness train on a real piece of track. It's a whopping 8 miles between Snoqualmie and North Bend, whereto we rode!

A spectacular piece of the logging history of the area.

Breathtaking view of the Snoqualmie valley, just past Snoqualmie Falls. Snoqualmie Falls is higher than Niagara Falls, for your information.

Don't ask me how, but we managed to keep the train ride a secret from Anthony until we were in Snoqualmie. And even then, we kept asking him what he thought we were doing that day. When we told him we would be riding a real train, he got very, very excited. This excitement was apparent in the look on his while riding the train.

Riley is a very cute pumpkin!

A view of Mt. Si in North Bend on the way out of town. Fun day!

September and October

We've been busy here. Both sides of the family came out to visit Anthony (and us) in September!

Here's Anthony riding the trolley in Seattle.

Unfortunately, I thought I took pictures of people, but I guess I really didn't. I took pictures of Anthony and scenery more than anything else.

Here's Grandma Janine and Anthony hanging out!

Waiting for grub at Paseo. Yum!

And even better...cupcakes at Cupcake Royale.

Watching boats and salmon at the Ballard Locks.

Then, after all of the excitement of the Grandma Janine and Grandpa Larry being in town, Anthony got to see Curious George!

And a very short time later, Grandpa George and Grandma Julie came to town!

We went to Pike Place Market and saw the fish and all of the fresh produce in the Northwest this time of year.

Then we saw lots of planes, trains, trolleys and boats...oh my!

We did quite a bit of exploring through the mountains of the North Cascades National Park.

I think we had a pretty fun time.
